5 Note Melody Dictation – D, E, F#, A and D (course 3)
5 Note Melody Dictation - D, E, F#, A and D
Let’s start melodic dictations with this new combination of notes: D, E, F#, A and D. We are also going to increase the possible number of notes in a dictation to 5.
Be sure to go slowly at first in this new layer of complexity, as well as use scaffolding to help you transition into it.
For scaffolding, it’s always a good idea to leave the First Pitch To Sound as the lowest note in your dictation, but you can experiment with the Last Pitch To Sound as a way of creating variety. Here we have set the last pitch to A. Give it a try and see how it feels.
